C64FC: Current state of affairs

Yesterday, or should I say yester-night, the C64FC started talking USB and now enumerates as a USB HID device. The road from here to having a finished product appears to be a straight path! Since the DPRAM is the most expensive component, I'm saving it until the end.

This was a huge step forward for the project. What I need now is a USB VID/PID combo, anyone with deep wallets out there? ;-)

  • For development work, you can check on using Jan Axelson's PID sublicense of Lakeview Research's PID/VID with these terms:
    VID: 0x0925
    PIDs: from 0x9000 to 0x9100
at no charge under these conditions:
    1. You use the devices only in your own lab or office.
    2. You don't sell, give away, post online, or otherwise distribute source code or executable code containing Lakeview Research's Vendor ID.
    3. You don't complain to me if another device uses the same VID/PID pair that your device uses.

    Pasted from <http://janaxelson.com/development_tools.htm>

    Good luck!

  • Cory: Thanks for the advice! Turns out the V-USB license came with a unique VID/PID combination, so I now have one reserved.
